Sep 21 Dave Thul Profiled

True North's very own Dave Thul was a subject of a very well done profile at MinnPost today.

Racing down a highway in northern Iraq at the head of a convoy of 100 tankers barreling toward the Jordanian border is a far cry from a race for the Owatonna City Council, but Dave Thul seems to have made the transition with relative ease — and inordinate aplomb.

Now I have had the undeniable pleasure of corresponding with Dave, both when he was deployed and after he returned to the 2nd Congressional District in 2007.  He started his blog, Foreign and Domestic, while he was deployed and shortly after his return he joined us here at True North.
Go read the whole thing (and F&D of course) and if you know anyone in the Owatonna area please encourage them to help Dave in his campaign for the City Council election.  For all he has done for us (and the US) it is the least we can do for him!
