Gov. Pawlenty Orders Stop to all State Funding of ACORN

Written by Nancy LaRoche.

The ACORN repercussions have reached Minnesota. Via the Star Tribune:

In a letter sent to Minnesota Management and Budget Commissioner Tom Hanson, Pawlenty cited "recent reports of questionable behavior and potentially illegal activity" by ACORN employees as the basis of his action.

He directed Hanson to halt all state funding of ACORN -- "unless the state is legally obligated" to pay the group. He also told Hanson to conduct a "thorough" investigation of the state's relationship with ACORN.

Breaking via Big Government: ACORN is suspending operations and will conduct an independent review in light of recently published undercover videos. Late yesterday and today, Big Government released a fourth undercover video, this time on the west coast.
