Hey Governor, remember us? Yeah, we are the Minnesotans back home who elected you to prevent tax and spending increases. We worked hard this weekend. We called, wrote and emailed our representatives. We attended republican endorsing conventions and passed resolutions. We endorsed strong conservatives to run for office and told weak republicans we deserve better.

Governor, we appreciate you vetoing the pig of a transit bill before you raced out of town. We also think you did a good job on Fox and CNN stumping for McCain, but what about us? Remember that election thing 15 months ago when Hatch and Dutcher lost the election? You won!  You said all the right words; you assured taxpayers they were safe from the big spending DFL and told us you were our goalie. You waved your veto pen. We believed you.

In a few short hours our legislators in the House of Representatives will vote to override your veto. With the help of a handful of Republican’s it looks like we will see the biggest tax increase in Minnesota history, the first of many the DFL plans to pass this session. At minimum you could have picked up the phone to call our wayward Republicans.

Are you as powerless and ineffectual as the DFL claims?
