Colin Peterson's Capitulation
Yesterday, Wednesday, I called the DC office of MN's 7th Congressional District Representative, Colin Peterson. You know, the representative known as a "blue dog" Democrat, one who will market himself as a conservative on guns, spending, and abortion. Conclusion of my call - he's not conservative in any way - he may talk the game but he doesn't walk the game.
The person who answered his phone yesterday informed me that Representative Peterson had gotten "concessions" from Democrats so he, Peterson, could approve the Cap and Tax Energy bill. When I tried to make my case, the man on the phone kept telling me I was wrong, didn't understand that Peterson was really working for his constituients, etc.
Bottom line - according to this post on Powerline, Peterson capitulated. I hope you all in Congressional District 7 remember this in November of 2010.
