Michael at Minnesota Democrats Exposed has the details of Friday night's debate on Almanac - with Madia denying his negative ad campaign:

The truth is that Madia is currently running a negative TV ad. I’ll post more on Madia’s lies later this week, but I want to discuss a key exchange from tonight’s debate.

Paulsen noted that Madia’s campaign and the DCCC were coordinating their negative attack message.  Madia asked for evidence and Paulsen produced a press release from Madia’s campaign which contained the exact same smears that media outlets in the Minnesota have labeled as false. MPR has also noted that Madia and the DCCC were coordinating messages:

“While those mailers came from the DCCC, the Madia campaign has made similar charges in a press release, as we’ve noted on Polinaut in the past.” Source: MPR, October 8, 2008

Madia was clearly rattled by the exchange and after the debate had ended, he quickly stormed out of the studio with his campaign staff.
