Right to Keep and Bear Arms

So There IS A Definition

Written by J. Ewing.

New York has just tightened an existing assault weapons ban, to define an "assault weapon" as a long gun having any ONE of the following:  a folding stock, removable magazine, flash suppressor, pistol grip or bayonet lug.  These weapons are just "too dangerous" for people to use for their own defense and anyone that has one, apparently, will be walking into a school and shooting dozens of kids shortly.  :-\ Sorry, but such idiocy naturally accumulates snark.  What is it about a bayonet LUG (without a bayonet) that makes a gun more likely to kill scores of school children?  With the exception of the removable magazine, NONE of the items in this definition have any bearing on the lethality of the weapon.  On the other hand, such laws ARE an assault on your Second Amendment rights and your right to self-defense with a weapon of your choice.  If you want to live, leave New York.  There's no intelligent life there.
