Jun 03 WMCers (Whiners, Moaners and Complainers)

My work as CD 2 Chairman has shown me that there are large numbers of dedicated volunteers who work very hard to accomplish specific tasks and goals of our party. But I have also seen, particularly recently, that there also is a faction that seem to prefer to whine, moan and complain about things that are wrong without being willing to do anything about them.

I was reminded of this behavior when I left the candidate debate last Thursday with a newly elected chairman. He commented on the fact that the school's flag was flying at night without being properly lit, so I suggested that since this bothered him, he call the school the next morning and mention the situation. His reply? "I'm too busy to do that." Taking shots is easy - doing the follow-through to make changes is difficult. WMCers too often avoid the second step.
