Republican Party

Just Admit It

Written by J. Ewing.

There are Destroyers among us.  I do not want to even admit to the possibility, but recent events and actions simply defy any other rational explanation.  Not that Destruction is rational, of course.  I have long wanted to believe the best of these "new" folks in the GOP, but no more.  There will be no paean here to their "youthful idealism and energy" because while that describes Young Republicans, it also describes Occupiers, Trotskyites, Brown Shirts and Obamamaniacs, depending on the particular virulent strain of their irrational inexperience.  We have to admit it because, frankly, I don't believe these folks will admit it to themselves; they certainly won't admit it to us.  Why else the skulking about trying to "take over" elements of the Party when they not only have no idea what to do with the apparatus, but often no intent to actually do ANYTHING?  Then they wonder why "the establishment" won't immediately clamor onto their crazy train when they do manage to seize power?  If you’ve got a better way to advance Republican principles, why not openly present it, and let us all join in to make it work?  If you think you can do it alone you are mistaken, and if you think your leadership means the rest of us meekly follow, you’re even more mistaken.  Just admit it.
