Complaint Filed in MN SD38 Race

Written by Midwest Spin.

On January 28th we posted a story about Minnesota SD38 candidate Rob Lambert possibly using an address that wasn’t actually his when he filed for office (here).   Putting your signature on an election filing that could end up having wrong information is not a good idea.  On February 12th someone filed fraud charges with the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board (files attached below).  It is a complaint of a violation of ethics laws as well.  The board will have up to 60 days to make a decision, but this complaint should go through quickly.

This is not good news for Lambert who is running for the endorsement against three other candidates.  The front-runner of the senate race is likely David Carlson who is a Marine veteran and has the support of Governor Tim Pawlenty. Pawlenty attended a fundraiser for Dave where he endorsed him.

I’m not sure how Rob Lambert will handle damage control if his first action in pursuing elected office turns out to be a fraud.  If it’s true…why didn’t Lambert just use his real address?  Even if it was outside SD38 it would be perfectly fine. Click the images below for larger version.
