Pawlenty the Pitiful
It seems like the only person giving more speeches than Obama is Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty. Pawlenty, who recently announced that he won’t be seeking re-election, is positioning himself as the GOP frontrunner in the 2012 presidential election. Pawlenty has tried to make himself more visible on the national stage and it is no secret that he wants to replace Obama at the helm.
Is Pawlenty the real deal? Is he good for conservatives? Or is he just another John McCain with a little better hairdo? A look at Pawlenty’s record shows that he has done nothing to control the spending in Minnesota. He has pandered to the teachers at every turn and has raises taxes on cigarettes, calling it a “fee” increase.
Pawlenty is a socialist, just like McCain. And just like McCain, he is a career government employee. Read this article. At the end you will see a quote by Pawlenty that McCain is one of his heroes. Maybe it’s because McCain now reports an income of $250,000 per year and has NEVER had a private sector job! To make matters worse, Pawlenty’s wife (a judge) is ALSO a career government employee.
Is this the best the GOP can do? Another John McCain? If that’s the case, look for Obama to serve another term. After all, if it’s socialism that you want why not go all the way?
