Democrats For Ron Paul?

Written by Nancy LaRoche.

Is Barack Obama in that much electoral trouble? It might be what motivated one liberal's creation of a Facebook page supporting Ron Paul to bolster the President’s re-election. This page offers some insight to their objective:

I am a Democrat. I voted for Barack Obama in 2008. In light of the rising tide of the neo-conservative Tea Party movement and the losses by the Democratic Party in the midterm elections, however, I think it is important that progressives do all we can to exclude the war-mongering, anti-gay, anti-civil liberty, Bush-era breed of Republicans from even having a remote chance of taking back the White House in 2012.

Barack Obama will be the candidate for the Democratic Party for President in 2012; we don't have a primary to worry about this year. Because of that, we should turn our attention toward the Republican primary. After looking at the field of likely Republican candidates, I can say that practically any one of them being elected would mean more needless and costly wars, a renewal of the war on drugs, and their theocratic anti-gay and anti-civil liberty values being pushed down our throats! In short, a victory for any mainstream neo-conservative Republican would bring with it all the horrors of a third Bush term and more!

I don’t know who “I” is, but gather that the effort is a liberal version of “Operation Chaos” which Rush Limbaugh instigated in 2008. He called for Republicans to register Democrat in the primary election and vote for Hillary Clinton.

Here is a list of "I's" liked Facebook pages:

Democrats For Ron Paul, Blue Republican, DailyPaul, RunRonPaul.com, Institute for Justice, Democratic Party, Re-Elect President Barack Obama in 2012, Veterans for Peace, NO H8 Campaign, Antiwar.com, NORML, Human Rights Campaign, Michelle Obama, Students for Barack Obama, Ron Paul 2012, Campaign for Liberty, Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, Barack Obama, Ron Paul vs. Barack Obama in 2012

The TEA party really has scared the pants off liberals after their effect in the 2010 elections. President Obama’s low approval ratings aren’t helping 2012 Democratic prospects, either. So, "Dr. I-vil" feels a need to interfere with Republican primaries to ensure the victory of Barack Obama. What a diabolical scheme!

Somewhere, George Soros is smiling with his little pinky touching the corner of his mouth and fingering his one hundred BILLION dollars. Meanwhile, "Dr. I-vil" is likely doped up and working on a munchies fix while Facebooking. This brings to mind an exchange from Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me:

Dr. Evil: As you know, every diabolical scheme I've hatched has been thwarted by Austin Powers. And why is that, ladies and gentlemen?
Scott: Because you never kill him when you get the chance, and you're a big dope?

We know from movie history that Dr. Evil never wins, so let the best man/woman win in 2012 — by letting each party vote their own candidate in. Besides, if Ron Paul won the primary and defeated Obama, TEA party conservatives would still win and the liberal agenda loses. Again. Ha. Ha ha!
