Communities United Against Police Brutality is commemorating the October 22 "national day against police brutality" by making it a three-day affair beginning this Saturday.
2007 Minneapolis Actions against Police Brutality
SATURDAY OCTOBER 20 3:00-5:00 PM Teach-In on the Juvenile "Justice" System Walker Church, 3104 16th Ave. S., Minneapolis
SUNDAY OCTOBER 21 6:OO PM Stolen Lives Commemoration Ceremony Walker Church, 3104 16th Ave. S., Minneapolis
MONDAY OCTOBER 22 5:00 PM Rally and March against Police Brutality and Injustice Juvenile Justice Center, 626 S. 6th St., Minneapolis
This photo is from their 2002 rally (and the kaffiyeh scarf worn by one of the speakers, and the "SS" symbol on their banner).Judging by their web site, the group looks mostly like disaffected anarchists. When you see other events and causes Walker Church supports, it seems more a front for union-building and socialism.
