The first rule of political correctness in today's "global warming" debate is that no debate is allowed. Seriously. One of the critical prerequisites of hiring the group Minnesota hired is that you have to promise not to debate the "science" about global warming. The doggone introduction announces proudly "the debate about global warming is over". Sorry folks, that's just not going to cut it out here in Wright County. The debate isn't even close to being over.

Paul Chesser is a journalist with a passion for exposing the monkey business behind the global warming pandemonium. I attended a brief presentation of his and left thoroughly disgusted that Minnesota is doing business with the group Chesser exposes. And Chesser didn't even talk science. He simply outlines the tactics of the group our beloved Governor hired. The good news is that Minnesota only had to pony up $40,000 out of a $400,000-500,000 project budget. The bad news is that its profoundly unethical for any advocacy group, no matter how deep the pockets, to be contracted by the state to present solutions for Minnesota. Who do these people think they are, the smoking ban proponents?

If the study (or whatever this thinly veiled taxpayer money grab is supposed to be) was worth doing in the first place, it was worth hiring experts that do not stand to benefit directly from the raft of recommendations presented. In teh old days we used to call this type of grime "corruption".

The polls say "global warming" is widely accepted by up to 80% of the population. That's largely because there has been virtually no credible resistance to the incredible propaganda put out by the left. Have you seen any well crafted conservative viewpoint anywhere that outlines responsible stewardship of our environment? The public has been fed non-stop one-sided propaganda. It's like we have our lips sealed around a firehose that's drowning us with the leftist koolaid. It's high time we called "BALDERDASH" and came up for air!

Whenever someone has the cajones to open their pitch by prohibiting free speech it always gets my dander up. We need more open and honest conversation and less of these sanctimonius task force reports that are nothing more than a shoehorn to cram us into our new socialist issue penny loafers. They'll be dime loafers next year if we don't get to the bottom of this climate pandemonium.

The debate has just begun. Not since the Flat Earth Society has society been poised for such a scam.
