The Star Tribune reports today about an incident at an Eagan Elementary school where a parent was invited in by the Principal to shoot down balloons from the gym ceiling with a BB gun, when no students were in the building. Readers chime in with their opinion of the incident,

From the article:
The BB gun troubled some adults in the school district, where students caught with weapons have been expelled. After Star Tribune reporters learned of the incident and started asking questionson Monday, officials in the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan District said they were investigating it.
The Star Tribune is on the case and produced a relatively lengthy article on the incident. It's also highly placed on their home page today.
Meanwhile the Eden Prairie Sun Current has posted video of Eden Prairie 9th Graders being Hazed to teach history. Notice the one kid tied up with a rope being pulled by an actor and called "boy." Notice the teacher talking about how emotional kids got, notice none of the students are interviewed.

It's been over a week since I sent a data practices request to the principal of Eden Prairie High and Camie Melton, the Director of Communications at Eden Prairie Schools, asking them for a copy of the permission slip as well as more information about this exercise. My request hasn't even been acknowledged, let alone responded to in a "prompt" manner as is required under Minnesota Law. It's really odd seeing as the high school actively sought publicity for the event by inviting both local newspapers for a photo op on the Underground Railroad Pilot Project which cost Minnesota Taxpayers nearly $11,000 out of its Integration Funds.
Just think if the premier newspaper in the state would help this blogger "investigate" as they did when contacted about the extreme incident where balloons were shot down from an elementary school gym ceiling with BB gun.
