If you want to know what a real communist looks like and does with power, you need look no further than the Minneapolis park Board and its President. (emphasis mine)
Tom Nordyke, the Park Board's president, said the board had acquiesced to having the Minnesota Department of Transportation use the property in the "emotionalism of the moment" after the collapse. But the board balked, he said, at simply extending its use to Flatiron, a large, private company that had financial incentives to finish the bridge early.
"[Flatiron] may be upset about it, but it's pretty clear. It's our responsibility to take care of that public trust, and that public trust doesn't allow for-profit companies to operate on public land without an agreement," said Nordyke. "You can't just have them doing that -- you just can't."
Nordyke also said that Flatiron being cast as a victim in the episode was "somewhat amusing, because I know them as a company." He added that "they're big boys. They know how to do their own deals."
That anti-business attitude is disgusting. This company was doing a job that not only would Minneapolis benefit from, but so would all Minnesotans, not to mention people traveling in and through our area. This is just simply pure communism on display.
I am shocked that this person actually said these things in public. We have long known that most Minneapolis officials a probably use their little Red Book as a resource more than the Constitution, but this is just amazing.
Abuse of power!!!!
I would like this blog post to be official notice of the commie pinkos to go back to mother Russia. There is no more anti-business City around than Minneapolis and this latest attack salvo on the economy and progress in the City is bordering on Unconstitutionality.
Far too many people in power in this city are like the ghestapo and are basically forcing people to pay pseudo 'protection fees', much like how the mob used to make businesses pay a portion of their revenue so the mob wouldn't shut them down.
"I have observed that Flatiron Manson has equipment and personnel located on Bohemian Flats Park. We do not have a signed agreement with you," Nick Eoloff, a Park Board project manager, wrote on March 21 to Flatiron official Bob Edwards. "This e-mail is official notice to you to vacate the premises immediately.
"This e-mail is copied to our chief of police," Eoloff added.
That's right, Minneapolis has a monopoly of force and they are not afraid to use it. This once great city is becoming the perfect example of a failed implementation of the American experiment. The people running the city are drunk with power and corrupted by their own agenda and special interests. More often then not, in Minneapolis it is the economy and business that is treated like the enemy.
At this point I will have to impose a ban on me attending any Minneapolis Parks and events in them. hey, I don't a passport, so I am worried they wouldn't let me back into the US.
I will ask my readers to make sure to remind me of this and encourage others to do the same.
