Nancy LaRoche grew up in a Democrat family: her aunt was Hubert Humphrey's personal secretary and uncle was a U.S. Labor Dept. official. After a long stint as an independent, she joined the GOP in 2002 after the infamous Wellstone memorial/DFL rally — but values principals over party.

Nancy began her blogging career as Lassie with FreedomDogs in 2006 after working with ProtestWarrior and FreeRepublic. Seeing first-hand how rabid (and vapid) some leftists can be, Nancy aims to expose their behavior while supporting life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
