Dave Thul

Dave is a resident of Owatonna, MN where he lives with his wife and children. A member of the MN National Guard since 1992, he started blogging at Foreign and Domestic in 2007 when his unit was extended in Iraq as part of the surge. His opinions on military matters are his own.

A proud independent conservative for years, Dave finally got off the fence and joined the Republican Party on Jan 20th, 2009 in response to the news of the day. He was elected co-chair of the Steele County BPOU four months later, and in April 2011 became chair of the CD1 Republican Party.

Dave is currently using his GI Bill benefits to pursue a degree in American History.
