Just Askin'

Written by J. Ewing.

You know, sometimes you don't know enough about a subject to write an authoritative post on it, and unfortunately the questions just keep piling up.  So, I'm just askin'...

If most all of this "urgently-needed health care reform," or whatever they're calling it these days, doesn't take effect until 2013, how urgently needed is it?  And why 2013, do you suppose?

In Russian history, it was the Marxists who got rid of the Czars.  So why, today, do we have a Marxist in the White House, creating new czars by the dozen?

Is it time that changes, or do we simply change the language?   Does anybody think that the "Gay 90s" had to do with rampant homosexuality?

H/T David Limbaugh:  The MSM is throwing a temper tantrum because of the Van Jones resignation.  They complain that New Media exposed his Marxist leanings, and then complain that he "wasn't properly vetted" before his appointment.  So, WHO was supposed to do this public vetting, and why are they now so angry that it finally got done?

President Obama gave a speech to all the school kids (the ones allowed to hear it anyway) and it was a totally innocuous" speech, urging them to do well in school.  So does all the uproar about it come down to whether or not you believe the speech was the same as it was before the uproar?

Should you be concerned that the federal government now commands time for a "message from the Dear Leader" and passes around "suggested" curricular materials to every school-- NOT to each school district, but directly to principals and with no parental review?

If it was a bad thing to "hope he fails" when speaking of Obama (or, more correctly, his policies), can we at least be allowed a smirk of satisfaction when he actually does fail?

If the federal government spends a trillion dollars more than it takes in, every year and year after  year, how long before the budget gets balanced and we start to pay down our accumulated debt?

Obama is talking to all the school kids about availing themselves of the opportunity for an education.  Democrats in Congress cancelled the "Opportunity Scholarhip" program for D.C. kids, condemning them to some of the worst public schools in the country.  How do these kids take advantage of an opportunity denied to them?

And two things I do know:

It takes two sides to make a peace, but only one to make a war; and

It takes two sides to make a compromise, but one of them is wrong on the issue, and the other is wrong to compromise on it.
