A Greedy Republican

Written by J. Ewing.

It isn't often that I disagree with fellow Freedom Dog Jeff Kolb nor agree with Andy Aplikowski on anything, but I must.  You see, I am a greedy Republican.   I want Republicans to win EVERY seat – every election contest-- especially this year.   The U.S. Congress, the Minnesota House and Minnesota Senate must remain firmly in Republican hands, and their majorities increased as much as possible.  Mitt Romney must defeat Barack Obama for the Presidency.  Most importantly, perhaps, the U.S. Senate must come under Republican control, preferably by a sizable margin, and for that to happen Democrat Amy Klobuchar must be defeated.  The ONLY other name on that ballot will be Republican Kurt Bills.

I don't care if you would have preferred a different candidate, that opportunity has passed.  I don't care if you dislike the way in which Mr. Bills gained the GOP endorsement; get over it.  I don't care if you think he is running a poor campaign, but if so why haven't you offered him the benefit of your wisdom and expertise?  I don't care what experts or polls or indicators you have seen leading you to believe "this race is lost," either.  If you are not doing everything you can to wring out a victory in this admittedly uphill battle then you increase the risk that our great nation is lost and that is unacceptable.  Yes, we have all of these other races to win, as well, but with a little coordination of effort we could just as well have it all, including turning Minnesota "red" for Romney.  It may be that we are defeated despite our best efforts, but we will certainly be defeated if we make no effort at all.
